Tailor your CV to the job you’re applying for as much as possible.
Progression CV will check your spelling and grammar, but it is important that you double-check this yourself!
Remember that if you plan to export your CV as a PDF, it should be no more than two sides of A4.
Keep your sentences short and succinct.
Start with an active verb (e.g. developed, participated, assisted, managed).
Avoid use of first-person pronouns (e.g. “I”, “me”).
Make sure to be consistent – e.g. using full stops at the end of every sentence.
Make your CV factual – tell the reader what you did, and they will be able to recognise the skills you gained (e.g. if you write “Collaborated with a team to....”, the employer will infer that you are able to work well in team settings).
Consider adding a section that highlights specific skills.
